THE COMPANY
Devotion to the wine since 1917

THE GROUP: In and around winemaking business

The Historical roots of Formentini’s Estates date back to 1917, when the Knight Libero Formentini and his wife Maria Corbellini decided to establish a firm devoted to the wine in all its aspects.
The company starts its business with success and at the end of the fifties the wine production is focused on Garda wines, thanks to the cellars located in Lazise, on the East side of the famous Garda lake.
The firm keeps its individual identity until 1979, when it has been increased up to four different companies: Libero Formentini in Ghedi (Brescia), Colli A Lago cellar and Selva Capuzza farmhouse with the annexed restaurant and

hamlet in San Martino della Battaglia (near Garda lake) and Giannini in Tuscany. All the companies are part of a unique and distinctive brand: Formentini’s Estates, which represents the strong ties to the land and the significance of the history developing excellent products and high-quality services.
Nowadays the wines are exported in 14 Countries around the world and approximately 70 employees follow all the activities held by the company. Several wines from our cellars have received some important awards, while the five most authoritative wine guides have qualified Selva Capuzza as one of the main wine cellars in Italy.
